WHAT VALUE DOES A PROFESSIONAL VIDEOGRAPHER ACTUALLY BRING TO THE PARTY?

Sure so this is where you get sold all the corporate and advertising cliches about brand identity and adding value to your message and blah blah blah. And you may not be thinking in those terms, but rather about just demonstrating something seemingly quite simple.


Of course, if you have a sizeable budget for a specific marketing campaign that stretches into the thousands of pounds, then you are probably not looking for a videographer, but for a production company that may well come on board throughout the creative process and the pre-production. We can do that, and I’ll lay out what that means in another article, for those who might be new to commissioning video production. It’s a very different thing from hiring a videographer.


If however, you’re looking to bring in a videographer, it’s because you need someone who will come along for a day or two - possible even less, possibly a little more - to create one or more simple, stylish film that does indeed consolidate your brand identity and add value to your message. It might be a company away day or party, it might be a conference or a launch, a training film, a recruitment ad or a demo, or a set of testimonial videos. Dont get me wrong, reels are great, ticktok is great, smartphone cameras are great

 

So go ahead and get your mate to take a film with his phone... sound is only so so, lighting is er... okay (be funny)  

 

A great video or a photo -  when Im asked why I always refer back to the old adage, you measure a man by his shoes and his fingernails.  I suppose it goes for women too and it is very superficial

And sure, we can shoot you a quick tiktok or reel. We can bring our phones. We often deliver vertical assets too. But these are for social, where it isnt easy to find your target audience, while your website - and often your linkedin - is where your target audience is already sat waiting to be impressed by you.
