Hi guys so:

sound is pretty bad, will try and fix as much as I can in second round of editing
also 2/3rds of interviews are out of focus, will sharpen and grade as much as i can in second round
also, music is placeholder
also; they are all a little bit OVER 60 seconds. Do you need to keep under/within 60 secs for instagram etc or does it not matter?

cheers

TWO AGAINST THE ATLANTIC

January 2018, two brothers, Greg and Jude, set out to row across the atlantic ocean in a tiny rowing boat

Their purpose was to raise £100 000 for charity after the tragic and painful death of their father from skin cancer, and purge the family of the grief that threatened to engulf them.

Confronting extreme weather and a host of life-threatening technical problems, there was simply no guarantee they would survive. Yet somehow, they made it. It is a voyage of physical hardship, emotional extremes, and – above all – an extraordinary, spriitual and personal transformation that will resonate with all of us.

Watch the trailer below. Get inspired. Get in touch.

IN SEARCH OF A NEW HUMANITY - FIRST FULL ROUGH EDIT

So here we go. With amazing contributions from George Monbiot, Dr Cat Scott, Greta Thunberg, and Extinction Rebellion’s Dr Gail Bradbrook, the very first, very rough rough cut is up. So much work still to do. The introduction lacks punch and needs focus. The idea still needs focus. We have contributions yet to come in from the green party’s Sharhar Ali, from environmental researcher Alyona Rydannykh and from others. But for now, here is where we are at, and any feedback is welcome

BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD

Well, sounds good doesn’t it?  A a great Mantra.  Didn’t Ghandi say it?  And look what he achieved.

But Ghandi and partition was sixty years ago, before modern globalisation, before data farming, neoliberalism, before widespread industrial expansion and social media virtue signalling.  And he starved himself, remember.  And risked his life, while many others lost theirs.

Sorting your eggshells from your single-use plastic straws doesn’t really compare does it? Meaning well has never meant so little. So why do we do it?

APRODERM

Hi guys

So this will be our place of reference, where I will for the moment be dropping work in progress, mainly video clips, some rough, some very rough, some polished and finished,  for everyone to take a look at.  Some fun stuff here, including, in the "at sea" section, three Attenborough spoofs

IN SEARCH OF A NEW HUMANITY

"An original and jaw-dropping hour-long original new documentary film starring Dr Greg Bailey and his brother Jude who together rowed the Atlantic unaccompanied over eight weeks, raising over £100 000 for Skin Cancer Awareness, produced and directed by award-winning director Adam Rowley.

From Gran Canaria to Barbados, across eight weeks, we chart a course through breathtaking scenery, heartwrenching emotions, excoriating loneliness and pain, and inspirational and superhuman physical challenges.  This is extreme sport, exquisite travelogue and survival journal with the emotions set to eleven.

And what sets this film apart from other adventure films is that it contains within its story a second and crucial journey - a journey of the soul, in which, through interviews and research, our brothers explore and examine the biggest ecological and societal question of our time - how will our we and our planet survive unless we learn how to love and live with nature?"
